Legal

Privacy Policy.

Last updated: October 2026

We keep it simple: this website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools and loads no content from third-party servers. Here you can find out which data is processed anyway, what we use it for and what rights you have.

This English version is provided for convenience. If it differs from the German version, the German version prevails.

01Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Company
Influx MediaHouse GmbH
Address
Wasserfallstraße 7, 6212 Eben am Achensee, Austria

This policy applies to the Influx Games website and the push notifications you can subscribe to here.

02Principles and legal bases

We only process personal data if there is a legal basis for it. For this website, these are:

  • your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), for example for push notifications,
  • the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), for example when you send us an enquiry,
  • legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), for example retention requirements,
  • our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

In addition, the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021) apply.

03Visiting the website and server logs

When you visit the website, our server automatically processes data that your browser sends along:

  • the IP address of your device
  • date and time of the request
  • the requested address (URL) and the page you came from (referrer)
  • browser, browser version and operating system

We need this data to deliver the website, find errors and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are usually deleted after two weeks, unless a security incident needs to be investigated for longer.

The website runs on Netlify, Inc. Netlify processes the data this produces on our behalf. We have a data processing agreement with Netlify pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Netlify may also process data outside the EU, for example in the USA.

04No cookies, no tracking

We set no cookies and use no analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts, images and videos are hosted by our hosting provider, Netlify, so no data is transferred to third parties such as Google Fonts or video platforms when you visit.

Only if you turn on push notifications does your browser store a service worker and the push subscription on your device. This is technically necessary for the service you requested to work (Section 165(3) TKG 2021).

We do not create user profiles and do not make automated decisions within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

05Push notifications

You can get a browser push notification when a new game comes out. We need neither your email address nor your name for this. Signing up only starts when you click “Turn on push” and give your browser permission.

We store:

  • the push address (endpoint) that your browser’s push service assigns to your device,
  • two technical keys used to encrypt the messages,
  • your chosen language (German or English),
  • the time you signed up.

We store this information and the record of messages sent at Netlify in Netlify Blobs, on our behalf and under a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Messages are delivered via the push service of your browser vendor, for example Google (Chrome), Apple (Safari), Mozilla (Firefox) or Microsoft (Edge). The content of the messages is encrypted; the push service only receives the push address and technical connection data. These services may also process data outside the EU, for example in the USA.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time: if you choose “Turn off push” on this website, we delete your subscription immediately. If you turn off notifications in your browser, the subscription becomes invalid and is deleted automatically the next time we send a message.

06Contact by email

If you write to us, for example to submit a game idea, we process your email address, your name (if provided) and the content of your message to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract or an enquiry about one is concerned, otherwise our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep the data for as long as necessary to handle your request, and beyond that only where statutory retention obligations apply.

07Links to the App Store and Google Play

The download buttons are ordinary links. Only when you click them are you taken to Apple’s or Google’s store, where their privacy policies apply.

08Data security

The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS, as shown by “https” in the address bar. We also protect stored data with technical and organisational measures.

09Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right at any time to:

  • access the data we store about you (Art. 15)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • erasure (Art. 17)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • data portability (Art. 20)
  • object to processing (Art. 21)
  • withdraw your consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))

Just write to us at hello@influxmediahouse.com.

If you believe that we are not processing your data lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). In Austria, this is:

Authority
Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde)
Address
Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria

If you live in another EU country, you can also contact the authority there.

10Changes

If the website or the legal situation changes, we will update this policy. The version published here applies.
